A Touch of Yesterday,
A Vision of Tomorrow.

Our journey began in Karachi, Pakistan, when Tahilram Tulsidas Mulchandani established himself in the textile industry. He simultaneously set up an office in Bombay (now Mumbai) for trading Indian and imported textiles from Japan and other countries. This office, located at M. J. Market, Chandra Chowk, proudly remains home to our Shirt-piece division to this day.

The second generation entered the business with the arrival of Nandiram Tahilram Mulchandani, the eldest of five sons. At a young age, he took charge of the entire operation.

Keshow Mulchandani joined the family business, joining forces with his brother Nandiram to expand their operations. They established an export office named Tulsidas Tahilram India Export, located at Dadi Seth Agiary Lane. This office specialized in prints for women's dresses and garments.

Dwarka Mulchandani, the third eldest brother, entered the family business a decade later. Together with his brothers, they launched Nandlal Dwarkadas, a venture focused on retailing men's and women's mill fabrics from their offices in Navi Gully and Sheikh Menon Street. The youngest two brothers, Hari and Durga also joined the company during this time.

Nandiram separated from his brothers, continuing the business from both the M. J. Market shop in Bombay and Astoria Chakla in Ahmedabad. The business shifted its focus to Ghaghrapath prints for women from Calico Dyeing and Digvijay Mills, primarily catering to customers in Saurashtra. In the following years, they expanded their offerings to include fabrics from NTC Mills, Jupiter, Seksaria, Appollo, Digvijay, and Madhusudhan.

Vijay, Nandiram's youngest son, became the third generation to join the family business. He brought a scientific approach, having completed a Bachelor of Science degree before entering the textile industry. Today, he is widely respected as a guru and expert in the field. Together, father and son managed the Madhusudan, Hukamchand, and Empress Mills business.

This year marked a pivotal moment for Vijay. He established a partnership with Morarjee Mill, ending his work with all other mills. He formed Nandlal Vijaykumar, focusing exclusively on men's shirting with Morarjee and becoming their second-largest dealer within two years.

Morarjee implemented a two-tier fabric distribution system in Mumbai. Nandlal Vijaykumar joined the system the following year. In 2003, when Morarjee shut down their Mumbai unit and relocated to Nagpur, NVK continued doing business with them as a wholesaler. The two-tier system restarted in Nagpur in 2009, and NVK rejoined the system the following year.

Vijay's son, Karan, a fourth-generation member of the family, joined the business. An IT Engineer by profession, Karan began his career at Pangea3 (a division of Thompson Reuters) where he gained experience in technology consulting, business development, and client management. He envisioned bringing new technologies and modern practices to traditional business processes and systems.

Under Karan and Vijay's leadership, the business experienced its most successful period, achieving a remarkable 30% year-on-year growth. This success was recognized with annual awards for "Highest Sales" and "Top Performances." They achieved this by introducing innovative products such as Jacquards, high-count fabrics, melange, cotton-silk blends, and cotton suitings. Notably, all these fabrics were branded with official selvedges, a first in India.

Cirocco introduced Vaughan & Pickett, an exclusive Italian brand. Crafted from super-luxurious Supima cotton with thread counts ranging from 160s to 220s, these timeless fabrics are available only at a select few top stores across India and internationally.

Celebrating the company's 85th year, Nandlal Vijaykumar undertook a major renovation of their head office in Kalbadevi. With a vision towards reaching their 100th year milestone, the newly refurbished office is a state-of-the-art space, equipped with all the amenities expected from an international corporate office. NVK remains committed to providing exceptional products and services to their customers, ensuring they always find the perfect fabrics to meet their needs.

Cirocco expanded its innovation efforts by launching a new range of performance-based fabrics and unique blends. These fabrics were designed to not only stand out in appearance but also offer practical benefits like non-iron convenience, athleisure wear versatility, vegan silk alternatives, and stretch fabrics. This collection was developed to meet the evolving needs and preferences of modern consumers.

We entered into a strategic partnership with Baruche, a renowned composite mill in India, spanning 35 acres and recognized as one of the most technologically advanced shirting fabric manufacturers. This collaboration allows us to produce truly unique fashion pieces using cutting-edge machinery, with a focus on the latest trends. The fabric's finish is unparalleled, while its designs draw inspiration from Italy and Scotland, bringing a blend of heritage and innovation to the forefront of our collections.

We unveiled the high-end Italian brand, The Manhattan Fabriano, featuring luxurious Italian cotton fabrics crafted from the finest Egyptian Giza cotton. Known for their exceptional craftsmanship and silky durability, these fabrics are designed for men with refined tastes. The collection offers a renewed sense of design and structure, with special finishing treatments that ensure lasting elegance and cleanliness. The Manhattan Fabriano invites customers to indulge in a premium selection of fabrics, making it the perfect choice for any style.
